Opening Comments
Hello to all.. and welcome. I'm creating this website and weblog in the hope that it will be a place for CHWs in New Mexico -- and those who employ, support, work with, or are just plain interested in CHWs -- to share ideas, concerns, and knowledge. I also hope this blog becomes a place where CHWs can find resources, research, training opportunities, and best-practices models.
So I'd like to start with a simple question: what would you like to see here? What topics do you want to discuss? What resources would you like to see on the website?
As many of you know, I'm currently working on developing guidelines for a statewide certification process and training program for CHWs. I'll be posting shortly about that project and what's happening with it.
